FAQs

Q: Why does the screen look messy when I move? A: The project renders at a lower resolution when you move, so you don’t lag out. This is scratch after all, and it’s rendering as fast as possible. You can turn the resolution down in the settings.

Q: Why does the menu look bad? A: Try turning on remove fencing, if it’s not already on

Q: Why am I stuck in creative mode? A: I ran into the project size limit, adding any more code would make it so I couldn’t save the project.

Q: What am I supposed to do? A: You can build structures, experiment with the lighting, take screenshots, and share your world codes.

Q: Why does the grass sometimes look weird up close? A: Ambient occlusion is being weird, I don’t want to fix it.

Q: How did you code this? A: To put it simply, it uses a lot of math to calculate how each pixel should be colored, by simulating light rays in a world.

Q: How do I break blocks? A: Select the blank box on your hotbar and click

Q: Why does the credits page inside say “none”? A: I forgot to change it lol, you can look down there for the actual credits
